Matt Wallace spent his formative years as a professional wrestler working his way up and down the East coast and all through the American Southwest and Mexico. Eventually something got knocked loose and he hung up his boots to focus on writing fulltime. His fiction helped found the award-winning Variant Frequencies podcast, from which the Variant Fiends get their name. His first and most experimental novel, The Failed Cities Monologues, is currently being taught at universities in the future. He has no respect for or interest in the conventions of writing and fiction. There are no rules of narrative. Sci-fi, horror, noir, splatterpunk, cyberpunk, comedy, drama are all ingredients in one fucked up cocktail brewed for a new kind of audience, composed primarily of those who are sick to the pit of their stomachs of being told what popular fiction is and are actually capable of thinking for themselves.
