The End Of Flesh

In December of 2006, one of Matt's short stories featured on the Variant Frequencies podcast was optioned by Precision Pictures, an independent production company based in Sydney, Australia. Matt was commissioned to adapt "Children of the Androphagi" into a feature-length screenplay. Combining that source material with a follow-up novella originally published by Cutting Block Press, Matt recently completed a 100-page script for Precision Pictures entitled The End of Flesh.

The End of Flesh tells the story of Jon "Busboy" Pacson, a detective in a future version of New York City where famine and over-population are driving the citizenry to commit increasingly widespread acts of cannibalism. Pacs is the one-man covert unit assigned to solve related crimes on the QT, keeping this alarming trend out of the public eye. Pacs navigates an underground where carrion feeding has become a new and frightening subculture. But when the son of a prominent political figure winds up on the menu, it leads Pacs to discover an even darker and more terrifying reality slowly evolving beneath the city streets . . . The project is moving along steadily, and in the meantime Matt is discussing others with Precision Pictures.
